Ignoring pricing, seller ratings, here's my .02 on the "extras".

The "wide angle lens" looks to be a sort of filter to put on the kit lens.
The flourescent light filter is useless, the camera has adjustable white balance.
Memory card reader, not needed, the camera comes with a cable to hook it up directly to the computer.
USB card, you will need this, unless you plan to record directly to your computer (not a very easy carry around,...)
Table top tripod, that will collapse under the weight of the camera.
Full size tripod, it looks like you could make a stronger one out of sticks.

My .02 on buying an entry level setup on a budget. Find a nice body (the XSi is coming out soon, and should help lower the XT, XTi prices). You could save quite a bit buying a lightly used one (be weary of too cheap of prices). Buy a decent memory card (shooting to fill a 2gb can use up a battery charge), but stick with a better brand as they save faster. Then buy a decent focal range lens (you can always buy and sell these later).

If you're just starting out, I don't think you'll have much benefit from a more expense body over an XT. It's all about learning the settings. The biggest impact on image quality will be the lens, so that's the biggest place to focus on. But as you're on a budget, just look for a moderate priced lens in your focal range (figure out if you want to have a wide picture, or a long zoom,...).

It'd be good to get a UV filter to protect the lens, and a CPL filter if shooting skies or trying to reduce reflections.

Cliffnotes:
To get started, you need:
Camera body
Lens
memory card
everything else is extra, and you need to figure out if you need / want any of it.
