I picked up a Thinktank Digital Holster 20 about 2 monthes ago. I used it quite a bit and just want to share my experience with members here.

I will be making comparison to Lowepro TLZ which I have been using about 1 years. I was not too happy with it because its bulkiness. I got the TT DH20 because I want something that JUST fit xxD with 17-55IS attached.

Comparison Pro TT:

1. External Size. DH20 looks a lot smaller when callapse. But it measures only 1.5" shorter, <1" thinner (if nothing in front pocket) and 1/2" wider. The main reason is the TLZ's front porket. It bulges up even when it is empty. TT doesn't have a front pocket.

2. Internal size. TT, when callapse fit 40D+17-55IS perfectly. Nothing larger will fit. Both can fit 40D+70-200F28IS attached. Of course TT needs to be extended. TLZ is slightly wider and thicker inside, but TT is longer when extended.

3. Belt attachment. TT is much better. TT can be easily attach to any belt not just the TT belt. TLZ has it belt attachment too low. Even with the Lowepro belt, the whole thing is top heavy. It is really useless.

4. Misc Item 2. TT comes with padding for LCD screen, so the camera strap won't touch the LCD. Nothing like this in Lowepro.

Comparison Pro Lowepro TLZ:

1. Padding. Lowepro has noticeable thicker padding. It gives more rugged and protected feel. TT has less padding, thus more compact in size. On note is that the extended portion of the TT is very soft and has little padding. It is a great idea for temperary use probably not for permenant use.

2. Handle. TLZ sewed to the back of the bag body. TT sewed to the top cover. This make the handle almost useless in TT because you have to zip up before you can use the handle. TLZ execution is much better here.

3. Shoulder strap. TLZ wins for 2 reason. 1)It has a much wider and better padded strap than TT. 2)TLZ strap attachment point is shifted toward the back of the bag. It is closer to the body when one wearing it. This makes wearing it more comfortable. TT strap attachment point is exactly at the center, not as comfortable.

4. Easy access. TLZ wins here because of it larger top lip. TT is really a exact fit of a 40D body. No space to put hand in and grep the body. I have to pull the body out by the camera strip.

5. Misc Items 1. TLZ comes with loop for attaching thing. TT does NOT. The attachment loop can come in handy.

6. TLZ was $30 (ebay) when I bought it. TT is $55. TLZ also comes with chest harness although I have never used it

Overall, I would recomment TT if you need 1)compact size, which is I am after. 2) you plan to attach the holster to some sort of belt. If you don't need 1) and 2), the Lowepro TLZ has better execution in other areas for lower price.
