I've had my 20D for 6 years, almost 30k images through it ... no issues other than some sensor dust!

7 years for me and just rolled over 40K the other day
I would love to upgrade, but budget is tight and when I look at the images it puts out I really do think "why would I want to"

So I upgraded my 300D to a 20D this spring. I'm really enjoying shooting with my "New" camera. Here are a couple of shots taken with it on my first trip out with it.

The first shot has a Consolidated B24 Liberator in the background, shot looking through a section of the worlds largest bore gun barrel. The 1000mm Iraqi Super Gun. It was shot using my Sigma 20-40mm f2.8 lens at 20mm f5.0 1/60s ISO800. This is actually in the American Hall at the Imperial War Museum Duxford.

The second shot is a pair of North American AT6 Harvards. These were shot using a rented 100-400L. Shot at 400mm f8.0 1/160s ISO100. This was my first time shooting with Back Button focus, which I also thought was a brilliant feature, sadly missing from the 300D, even with the hacked firmware.

Hope you enjoy.

Alan

I have a very soft spot in my heart for the 20D. Purchased a used one some years ago and used it extensively and solely. Always reliable, never failed or had a hiccup. Finally gave it away to a young photography student who is using it still to this day. Currently loving my 30D and 40D and really require nothing more although the lure of newer bodies is tempting.
