This one will be specific to the 20D.........a nice resource just for this spectacular piece of photographic equipment.

That one actually started out as specific to the 20D, but they added the 30D because it is identical from an IQ perspective. I'm not sure why they lumped the 10D in there though, as it is actually quite a bit different.

Agreed - the 10D (which I owned and really liked) is a different animal all together. The overall slowness of this camera finally did it in for me.

That is one of the main advantages of the 20D over its predecessors - it was the the first Canon DSLR that runs fast enough to keep up with the user in most cases.

I just posted some of my examples from a recent trip to a hawks game with my 30D in the "lens sample" section. I figure I'll post the samples here as well as the 30D exceeded my expectations (as did the lens) on that trip to the game. (however I still have dreams of toting a 70-200 2.8L IS of my very own to games) That'd make my photos pretty darn sweet.

Anywho...

How about a few Arena Condition type shots :) My first time with this camera & this lens in this enviornment. I was pretty pleased with the results all in all. The photos are watermarked by me as I share my hawks photos on a blackhawks messageboard.

Just bought a 30D as a backup to my 1DMIIN. Said bye bye to the 10D which was a great camera and served me well. The 30D will be here tomorrow.

Best Wishes, Michael

Great examples all around Lore, Eric and Matt........very nicely done. XXD cameras these days have more resolution, higher ISO's and more bells and whistles......but in 95% of shooting situations I would think that my trusty 20D could hold its own quite well.

The 20D was my first digital camera. I love my 5D, but the 20D still sees plenty of action when I need the extra reach of a crop frame camera.

I have no intention of of replacing the 20D with a later model - it does everything I need.

I don't think I would ever sell one when you move up. They sure come in handy in weddings and event photography to have a lens and extra flash mounted ready to go. This is the camera I throw in the car just in case I want to take a shot unexpectedly, I think it's as capable as the other XXd's. The only thing I miss is the larger lcd to see the histogram and spot metering and after you start shooting with it you really don't miss it that much.

I love my 20D, she's been rock solid for 4 years. She'll be replaced by the 5dII next week, but still on hand for a second body. Some of my faves:

Haha, thanks! :) though 4 photos out of my 30,000+ isn't a very high hit rate :D

http://flickr.com …u/sets/72157608381891279/ (external link) has a few more (though some of those were 300d/450d).
