Phil, do you still actively shoot with the 30D?
I'd like to but I lent it to a co-worker of mine. With the crop factor I'd like to use my Tammy 150-600 on it.

A little late coming back to this, but you will see no improvement from the 20D's "crop factor" when compared to your 5DIII. Crop the 5DIII back to match the 20D and you have the same number of pixels. In that situation the 5DIII's much newer sensor technology will be a huge huge advantage.
