Sorry, but I had to Add /30D to the title, IMHO the 30D has always been, and will always be the 20Dn.
Same damn camera IMHO. I feel the same way about Mk2 and Mk2n, so I'm being consistant.

He couldn't admit that the 20D was a decent camera because he didn't have any to sell to me. Another guy there handed me an 85L when I asked to see an 85 1.8. I really wish we had a real camera store around here. We're blessed with two superb independent, professional camera stores in San Diego. I won't even go near a Ritz... John

And PhotosGuy's message, too. Slowly. Use M or Tv, not Av, even P gives you 1/60 with flash! I totally get that. I'm just commenting on the limitations of flash-sync only being allowed to lock at 1/250 in Av mode. I've done some shoots with a friends 10D, which locks at 1/125 in Av mode, and the same shoots were much better IMO. My Gear and Stuff :: My Zenfolio Gallery

Even if it is only a backup now, I don't see ever selling it. Mr. the Kid.

While I shoot flash in M when using flash as main source, I do wish that if I am relying upon Av TTL ambient metering automation with fill flash, that one could set a 'minimum flash synch' speed like 1/15, so that the camera does not try to use horridly slow shutter speed in order to grab ambient light in the exposure. Sometimes the pace of shooting just doesn't permit one to take the time to notice how slow the meter is trying to set the shutter! You need to give me OK to edit your image and repost! I won't even go near a Ritz... Years ago, I applied for a job at a couple of the local Ritz stores. The manager at one store told me he was impressed with my resume but said he didn't have any openings. He referred me to another store but I never heard anything from them after dropping off my resume. I suspect the reason I didn't get the job is they didn't want an employee who knew more than they did.. ![]() I envy you. I wish I had a camera store that would do that. ![]() He did ($479), but he seemed to have a "lightbulb" moment after I played with it for a bit and said "oops, looks like this one is actually $2299." Yeah, the place is a rip-off. I don't mind paying extra at a local shop when they are helpful, but to pay those prices and have the sales people not even know the different between an 85L and 85 1.8? I loved Orben's when I lived in Jacksonville, FL, they were very helpful and patient when I got my film Rebel. Whish I had a place like that around here.
