Shooting Snow

Hi all,

Off to a vacation of sun and snow and ski.
In regards to the pics, this will be the first time that I will be trying to capture in this environment.

Any suggestions? I have an S3 IS, with circular polarizer (to make those blue skies super super blue from the glaciers)

Also the French Freestyle Championships happen to be at the same place this year. I know that I don't have the idea camera to catch mind numbingly cool pics, but any ideas how to catch cool ones?

If there's much snow at all in the scene, you'll want to use +1 or so stops of exposure compensation . . .
