im looking for a small backpack, hopefully, no bigger than the lowepro microtrekker 100. it is intended for hikes/long city walks where one doesnt need tons of stuff. the only issue i have with the microtrekker is that it doesnt have the AW cover. I need it to be a bit more waterproof. im open to other brands too, besides lowepro. suggestions greatly appreciated :) most probably, the pack will hold an xti with 18-55, a 55-250 and one prime.

thanks.

Take a look at the lowepro Dryzone 100... probably a touch bigger than you want, but it is [I]waterproof[I]. Probably a bit more than you want to spend, but the reviews are great and it... get this...floats. The 200 is on my "to buy" list myself.

Definately steer clear of Tamrac - my Adventure 7 leaks like a sieve!

Also check out this company Pacific Outdoor Equipment (external link), great waterproof bags, not primarily for cameras. But buy a Domke (external link) camera insert and it should work fine.
