My comments are based on shooting HS basketball. Shouldn't be too different from NBA, except perhaps faster players and better lighting with the NBA.
From directly under the basket, I would use the 24-60 f/2.8 as the 70-200 will be borderline too long on a crop body. If you can get out where the 3 point line comes back in to the baseline, then I would use the 70-200 f/2.8L IS. Another benefit of the 70-200 over the 24-60 (besides the obvious L quality), you can shoot across court also.
Be sure to use AI Servo and I would use M mode for exposure. The lights in the background or reflecting from the floor will fool your light meter. Get the exposure good for faces.
