NBA basketball game

I will have a chance to shoot a NBA game with a press pass.
I can shoot the pregame, and during the game behind the basket.
I only have a 40D with lenses in my profile in addition to 24-70L.
What recommendations do you have for me? Anything would be helpful.
Anyone take any NBA shots here?

My comments are based on shooting HS basketball. Shouldn't be too different from NBA, except perhaps faster players and better lighting with the NBA.

From directly under the basket, I would use the 24-60 f/2.8 as the 70-200 will be borderline too long on a crop body. If you can get out where the 3 point line comes back in to the baseline, then I would use the 70-200 f/2.8L IS. Another benefit of the 70-200 over the 24-60 (besides the obvious L quality), you can shoot across court also.

Be sure to use AI Servo and I would use M mode for exposure. The lights in the background or reflecting from the floor will fool your light meter. Get the exposure good for faces.
