Really, I can't say enough about them. It's an area where I personally am not good but I love looking at them. NICE JOB! JWright wrote in post #5138036 I have to tell you the story of my 100-400... I purchased the third 100-400 to come into my local camera store in January of 1999. (This lens was one of the reasons I chose Canon over Nikon in the first place.) boy, I don't know that I would have had the patience you did for all that. How frustrating. It must not have had that part for a long time! Glad it's working for you now though. Miniflash wrote in post #5139428 Good day folks .. When I got there, five other people were in line in front of me. I waited my turn, got my mocha, paid, had my card stamped (one more and the next is free), then walked back to my department. On the way back it dawned on me. Not one single one of us in line actually told the woman who works there what we wanted. In fact, she was one step ahead of everyone and already had our order ready when it was our turn to step up to the counter. There are over 3,000 employees at the hospital where I work and she knows what all the regulars get by memory and starts making it as soon as she sees us walk in the door. My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

After we'd looked at the menus for a while, the waitress came over to get our orders, going around the table to each of us, asking things like "how would you like that prepared?", "would you like xxx with that?", etc. The usual routine. When she was finished with our table, she moved to the next table over where a family of four was seated, and got their orders too. My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

Twenty-some-odd years later and I'm still amazed! ![]() I'd suck at it Lonnie ..I"d not only forget but some days i am a real clutz ..I drop things I usually know its gonna be a bad day when my first coffee doesn't make it to the cup Deb
