No not directed at no one in this thread. We don't post in this tread for comments. The only comments I remotely expect in here is something to the tune of "I like that shot". I don't expect a critique in here. I was just blowing off steam in here.

Now don't tell me people are at work and can't comment be cause half the world is off work and it is 5:00 somewhere. As for the other shares and other forums I rarely say much because my Grandmother said, "children should be seen and not heard." Therefore if I don't know what I am talking about I don't talk. If people think I am an idiot that is ok. I refuse, however, to open my mount (use my fingers to type in this case) and remove all doubt. Besides, most of you guys here know me well enough to know if I say that is a little this and a little that yada yada yada, that I am only sharing my opinion and not being an a$$. But others may not see it that way and I have a fear (a real big on - more of an insecurity) of offending people (just ask Cathy and Lisa).
But me, I have a thick skin, a skin thick than that of a T-Rex. Say what you have to say. Try to do it in a constructive manner please, but Mr. Expert share what is in that little pea brain of yours. Just because the "World of POTN" regards you as the "Landscape God" {no reference to you Neil I just had to pick a share} does not mean that I want to become better than you so that I can dethrone you. So come down off your mountain and help the little people. [/guilty rant]

The ways I sees it is that the "share" section is for sharing. If you share in there, you're just going to get people chimp at your shots and say "nice shot", unless you ask for specific C&C.

However, if you post your shots in the C&C section, people will invariably try in their eloquent way to say that it's crap in some small detail.

I don't much care what people (who aren't my friends) say about my shots. I have enough sense to know if they're worthy or not.

I understand your point. And I do not disagree with it. However I find that the C&C forum does not have the field of "experts" lurking in it. There are those who regularly post there and give good critques, granted. But as for techniques specifically for a form of photography that is very DETAILED I don't see it.

Or maybe I just got my feelings hurt and pitched a temper tantrum.

That's about the way I feel about it. I've seen too many instances of criticism being given in a share form (and not just at POTN, but elsewhere on the web) and the OP getting all upset because the person making the critique pointed out the flaws in the image. A lot of time it is more prudent to not make any comment at all unless the OP asks for it.

Jamie, I'm perfectly willing to critique your images, if you are will to accept what I say, keeping in mind I only trying to help make you a better photographer.
