I actually saw that, but believe it or not I thought you were referring to people saying "RTFM." No kidding! I didn't' really catch up (obviously).

Don't be hating on the neti pot. It's from ayurvedic medicine.

For those who aren't familiar, see here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8sDIbRAXlg (external link)

I love youtube!

Yeah I think you were the one who linked to youtube last time there was netipot talk! EWwwwwwwww!

It's very gentle and refreshing. Nothing like nasal spray.

And I'm one to hold my nose when I go swimming. But this is nothing like that.

Not buying it.... and doooood let go of your nose when you swim! Sheesh! If water tries to get in.... blow air OUT your nose... No need to hold your nose dood!:p;)

Permagrin wrote in post #5144775 (external link)
you're right...nothing like swimming...a lot like drowning...

THIS sounds about right!!!!!

Permagrin wrote in post #5145105 (external link)
seriously, I cannot even begin to list the problems with that whole scenario ...I was aghast when I read it.

NOTE TO DAN: If I say I'm not coming out...call for help

I heard about this a while back.... OMG... unbelievable!!!! The fact that somethings in this world are thought to be ok by certain other members of society... scares me....

I like too, I try to get out, but alas do not do it as much as I would like either. You are right, most folks have become extremely soft expecting the best in comforts whether through electronics, large homes, expensive vehicles, etc. How things have changed in just 2 generations.

The ways I sees it is that the "share" section is for sharing. If you share in there, you're just going to get people chimp at your shots and say "nice shot", unless you ask for specific C&C.

However, if you post your shots in the C&C section, people will invariably try in their eloquent way to say that it's crap in some small detail.

I don't much care what people (who aren't my friends) say about my shots. I have enough sense to know if they're worthy or not.

And that is why I don't post in C&C... or really the shares anymore. In the shares I've gotten more unwanted criticism than I care for. and posting in C&C just bruises my all-too-delicate ego.
