Question though, I saw your focal length was 135mm....how close were you to the birds? About 0.9m (minimum focus distance). These robins are real cocky. They don't mind people getting pretty close to them. 3Turner wrote in post #5225698 These shots were nice too. If you donated some cash...would they let you take shots inside...for documentary purposes? Give them a copy and you have some too. Actually, I took a number of shots today using the LV. Have you used that feature yet? I have, a couple times. There was one shot I took using live view that I posted here. It really is a nice feature for SLRs. Provided, of course that you use it right. T.D. wrote in post #5227452 Did you notice Zane's new title? He's been naughty. I often wonder if people who are potential visitors to the board come here, read the titles, then run, screaming. thomascanty wrote in post #5227693 I use a PC, and I don't have a single icon on my desktop. I hate (ok, dislike very muchly) them! I don't even have a "My Computer" icon. Nothing. Not a one... Howdy, Kit! What drives me nutzo is in the days of XP and Vista, people insist on using the classic start menu, placing My Computer, My Documents and Network on their freaking desktop. I'll be in the middle of something, and need to open a file, look at something, or check a log as the app is running, and I'll always have to hit the reveal desktop icon (provided they haven't also hidden the quicklaunch toolbar, which likely they have. Then I have to minimize everything, unless that one app has an active dialog, then I'll do Start->Run->C:\<enter> and browse to the location I need to be in. It's much simpler to click start, then Computer (or <Username> puddlepirate44 wrote in post #5227718 OR... pick up your monitor, put on your scanner face down, scan and treat the resultant scan as any other jpg. That's not right. Everyone here has a camera. You set your shutter speed to as close to the sync speed as possible (This is critical for CRT, LCD it doesn't matter at all), snap the picture, adjust the levels in ACR, load it in photoshop and resize the image. My computer would drive you nutzo too, then. I use classic mode. The only way to get to My Computer or Network is to reveal desktop. I completely eliminated My Documents, so you can't get to that at all without opening Windows Explorer and navigating your way to it... My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

They're mostly just snapshots, but I wanted to get something on my web site with pictures of Minnie. We'll be heading to Northern California in two weeks, and I wanted to test the waters with her to see how she would do on a fairly long car ride first. My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.
