 Did your wife roll her eyes?

She did. Then she asked. What is that?

Weird, 'cuz in Oregon, we call them "Freakishly Weird Alien Plants That You'd Just As Soon Take A Weed Whacker To".

Sure, it's a long name, but when you say it, everyone know what you're talking about.

Heheh.. But, extremely low maintenance

I was all over the place today, put over 100 miles on my car for no real reason...I went to see that abandoned ferry but couldn't get close enough to shoot it, but I did go off roading in an attempt! I also saw a hawk (didn't have a long lens with me) and then we went for a nice drive along the hudson river.

http://i4.photobucket.com …skrim/nextone/offroad.jpg (external link)

I want to keep heading down that road to see where it goes...

I have a few chores and errands to do. Not to mention a lot of contemplating (and talking with Little Foot, if I can find her again).

I'm out of here for a bit. I'll be back later.

My name is Lonnie, but I answer to Thomas too.

Cool and thanks...and a fellow scrapper, though I've slacked off considerably...taking too much time taking pictures.

DAN - You do realize if it weren't for the rain, a lot of interest would have been lost in a good deal of these shots. Course you could always take a spray bottle on a nice sunny day. :D;) Nice, very nice...please rant-on.

I actually did only one layout tonight... hehehehe it was a layout about my photography ;) I haven't scrapped much either.... I enjoy the friendships and chatter as much as I enjoy the scrapping! hehehehe

OK, had a great opportunity to shoot a different kind of sport, for us anyway, today. It was very difficult since this was out of our usual sport knowledge. We really wanted to capture some of the intricatecies of the sport in order to do it justification so I leave it up to you to judge, it is my understanding this is one of the more difficult moves of the sport...

...Synchronized Swimming...

That's a RIOT! Who knew that ducks were into synchronization!

It's a British phrase Pete taught us a while ago. It basically means "How cute!" I didn't know there were other possible definitions for it...

Awww..... :D

Pete's a stinker.
Show me an online definition of "How cute!" and maybe I'll believe you, lol.:p

I have been slacking recently, haven't I

.

Hi Mark, I must say you have been slacking. It's beginning to slow down at work for me now, so I may be on more, who knows. I do miss your MMQ's, they help to catch up, especially on the invisible words, lol.

What's your take on diddums?:D

Becky, nice job on the Ring Necked Ducks. I've always thought their name was odd too.

I have also met for lunch with Zane, and his lovely wife Leyla when they were traveling through Calgary. More wonderful folks. The only thing that I found any different with them in real life, from how I perceived them to be here, is that they are even nicer in real life. :D

Very nice words Jim, the feeling is mutual.

Well, I've had a little sleep, so maybe now I can share some pictures from yesterday...

Nice Lonnie. They don't look overexposed to me but my screen sucks. It does look like a very bright day.

Couple from the show last night. These are friends of ours, they were doing a fund-raiser for the youth group's work camp trip this coming summer to ASP, Appalachia Service Project. Our keeper ratio was pretty low, tough to get shutter speeds over 1/50:

Nice, I hate low light.

thomascanty wrote in post #5265199 (external link)
BTW, apparently Minnie and Tupper decided they are tired of taking turns laying down in the crate. I just glanced over there a few minutes ago and found this:

Tupper looks like he is just being stubborn.

I'm still learning this macro stuff... what do you guys think?

The second one is interesting. Until you posted the scale shot of the first I wasn't sure what I was seeing.

Zane: Your shots of you and Bob made my day!

Excellent! Your drawings often make my evenings so I am glad I could give back:D

Hee heehee ...

Wife and I were at Lowes today and I happened to see this:

I just knew it had to come home with me

It is beautiful, what shall you name it?

Hi folks I am still catching up. I am beat. Shot the race today after staying up way too late and went to dinner for my mom's 70th right after the race.
