Thanks Terri, for this shot, I too like the warmer look. That is the top of my file cabinet at work, it is in front of the right side of my desk, gives me something soothing to look at when the stresses of the day begin to wear on my brain.

Skrim17 wrote in post #5267685 I was all over the place today, put over 100 miles on my car for no real reason...I went to see that abandoned ferry but couldn't get close enough to shoot it, but I did go off roading in an attempt! I also saw a hawk (didn't have a long lens with me) and then we went for a nice drive along the hudson river. They dump bodies there don't they?
misspix wrote in post #5268287 Ok, so I read an article about using corn syrup on acrylic as a way to shoot flowers. I figured it was simple enough Cool, 2 is my favorite. You can experiment with indirect light reflected from a sheet or the walls. It will be less bright but you have a tripod you can use a longer shutter. A sheet can still be reflected and don't mix light sources so you don't get an odd color reflection in the drop. Use Manual focus to focus on the drops. I figured it was simple enough to give it a shot.Needless to say, after wrestling my makeshift studio into place, it took another 20 minutes or so to get Daisy seated properly to commence. I was happy with what I was seeing on the LCD, but did not realize until I popped them onto the 'puter that I had reflections of my lights in my refractions of my flowers Obviously, some practice is in order. Judge for yourselves; The basic corn-syrup refraction ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyone who can shed some light (lol, get it? light? rofl I crack myself up) on how to keep the light out of my corn syrup, I would appreciate it!
