Steve: You are out during the day

I had a white shepard mix named Sarabi (Simba's mom for those not in the know) She was a very cool mutt

Hi Terri, I'm always here during the day, just not caught up. I usually won't post 'til I'm all caught up.

She was out exploring earlier,

When we got peepers it took him a month or so to use the box consistently. He also did stuff like walk right up to me and pee on the floor. I don't know what it means but he started getting his face put in it or gently booted across the room. He decided hiding his pee in the sand was a more better plan. I don't know cats as well as dogs but I raised my cats like dogs and they came out alright:lol:
Oh also my sister came to stay when I had my accident and he peed in bed with her and this was long after he was using the box. I imagine it is some cat social or Territorial thing but don't know.

Oh, and when you met Mom, you also met a POTN grandmother. Both my kids are on here, too.

True, but I haven't met them in person (yet). Kinda breaks the chain.

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused: I wouldn't boot the cat across the floor. If cat's urinate outside the box, there's a reason.

My 15 minutes just got bumped to 5, Curt wants to go early to do some "teacher" talk with his sister and BIL. :D:D:D

He did find out that Ag teachers are in high demand to the point that the are granting Provisional Certifications, I.E. he could get on staff while taking classes for Full Certification. So, if the waters test out, this is a very possible career avenue. :D

I would do that too, or at least personally escort her to the litter box, except she's still a little shy around me and I can't always grab her. Anyway, so far it's only happened the one time. We'll see what happens next.

I'm PACKING TO GO HOME!! WOO HOO!!!

I really wanna pack to go away.

But, I betting that Dan is wanting you back as much as you wanna be there.

Thanks. I'm really curious to see how things turn out eventually. The money would still be a bit in the future, but it could turn out to be a good chunk of change. He's writing a book about Jewish Pioneers in the gold rush era and wants me to visit all of the cemeteries the museum owns or controls and get pictures to illustrate the book. We haven't discussed any terms yet, but he did mention "a share of the royalties" (instead of my usual flat rate). Since he's a well known museum director, I have a feeling that will probably come out to quite a bit more than my usual flat rate...

I see a new gear budget in the future. ;)

Now, see? If I could get a dog, put a pack on him, he could carry my camera gear for me! Ooo, a plan!

If you got a llama you could carry Lisa's gear too. ;)

Sorry Lisa, I said gently. You are correct but it may be the wrong reason. The problem was due to a language barrier he could not explain his reason and other than doing something objectionable I could not articulate to him that he needed to go in the box and only the box. I only turned to it once he new where and how to use the box. He cut it out real quick. Negative reenforcement with animals and children is sometimes necessary and done right is in no way abusive. I have met people that have animals that are not house broken only because they refuse to punish an animal, thats wrong for the person and the animal. You are correct though it is a bit early for that until she knows better.
