I just walked out of my apt...my only clear shot right outside my place is RIGHT beside a glaring street light. Not to mention the fact that I only have the 18-55 kit lens...really not enough magnification.

Oops! False alarm. It's just the clouds covering up the moon. :mrgreen:

The eclipse isn't going to happen for another half an hour to an hour from now, is it?

No, I think you're correct. I just took a look outsite and what was almost a full moon about 30 minutes ago is now like a crescent moon. But the clouds in my neck of the woods really is making viewing it a little difficult. :(
