You can also use Flash Exposure Lock on the G-series, including the G6. It's much like locking the focus and recomposing the shot, with the addition of pressing the * button, after half-pressing the shutter.
You can also manually set the flash intensity in most modes.

I don't know about the A-series. Hit canon's site--they have all the manuals in .pdf. In some ways, browsing the manual of a camera you're considering is better than reading a review :)

I found it at:
http://consumer.usa.canon.com …egoryid=222&modelid=10463 (external link)

If that URL doesn't work, hit www.usa.canon.com (external link), choose Support, Digital Cameras, G-Series, G6, and then on the new page, choose Product Manual.

MrChad,
The G6 Manual can be found here (external link).

On the left just choose Product Manual and you should be good to go.

Ok.. I have a question in regards to media for the G6...

I see so many different types of CF cards out there... 4x, 40x, 80x... Is there any advantage to using an 80x over a 4x in a G6?

Check:

and
http://www.dpreview.com …/mediacompare/default.asp (external link)

In digicams, card speed doesn't appear to make a huge difference--the bus speed in DSLRs seems to be much higher, and they can take advantage of the high speed cards. Personally, I look for the cheapest big-name brand I can get. CF cards are extremely rugged, but I'd still like a reputable manufacturer who will be around to fulfill the card's lifetime warranty.
