Canon PowerShot A710IS - How to Get date imprint on portrait photos

I wonder if anyone can help me. I own a Canon PowerShot A710IS. I have no trouble with that until now. When I print out portrait sized photos the date won't be imprinted, but the landscape ones would have the date. I haven't edited the photos in anyway. When I first bought it, the date would show when I had portrait sized photos printed. I do hope someone will be able to help me out. I am very particular about the date imprint.

Help please!

If you print using Zoombrowser, you can print the date on any type/size print you want. Also, any text. The A710/720is will print the date for postcard size. Zoombrowser came with your camera and is easy to use.
