Hey guys,

I'm purchasing a bg-e2 grip and will be in need of an additional battery. I'd like to buy a couple since I'll be backpacking in Europe for 5weeks or so.

Any recommendations on where I can get Sterlingtech or Canon batteries for a decent price? Are there other batteries that are reputable?

Thanks

I have been very happy with: thomasdisributing.com. I have used them for 5 years with no problems.

On Ebay, do a search for: orphanbiker

I have had real good luck with his batteries, both for my Canon 30D and Panasonic video cameras. He's had nearly 60,000 transactions and he still has 100% Ebay feedback. :)

www.sterlingtek.com (external link) It can take a couple of weeks to get the goods if you are outside of the US.

sterlingtek is where I get my batteries lately. I don't know if they ship overseas, though.

I'll second them as a first rate company that uses high quality batteries in their OEM replacement selection.

I've picked up batteries for my 20D and G7 from www.mydigitaldiscount.com (external link), worked well for me.

thanks for all the places.

ronmuller : approx how long is the battery life for the batteries you purchased at www.mydigitaldiscount.com? (external link)

SuzyView : Sterlingtek does ship internationally.!

Seems like Sterlingtek is a very reputable company but I wouldn't mind saving a couple bucks from another place.

I first bought BP-511-h's from MyDIgitalDiscount for my G1. I think the batteries lasted about 3 years. I did buy another batch of batteries from them last year again along with a SDHC card with no regrets. YMMV.
