40D and a new 70-200 f/2.8!!

Sold the 70-200 f/4 and got the 2.8. I thought about the IS version, but thought I would save a few hundred dollars since I have IS on either side of this focal range.

So far so good!!!

ISO 100~~1/1600th~~F/2.8

Awesome, awesome combination. And yes, the 40D AF is a fantastic little device. AI Servo is a wonder on the 40D. Congrats on the setup, and enjoy you new wonder fully.

Great question!! The 2.8 feels about 3X heavier. It is considerably heavier....

wow, amazing tracking especially since the dog is coming toward you and not at an angle. i tried this with my XT and got very few keepers last time i was at a dog park
