I know this question has been asked many times.

I have read many threads and i still cant understand.

All I want to do is insert a logo about 10cm x 20cm in size on the bottom of all my pictures.

I dont want to do "signitures" and I dont want to mess around applying it to each image seperatly.

Can someone please tell me how i can insert my logo over the top of 600 images all at once.

I have photoshop 7.

Also, I wish photoshop 7 had the option to "batch" apply frames to all 600 images at once but i cant see how to do this.

Scroll 2/3 down to "Digital Watermark Branding"

Once you get your action set up, run it as a batch process.

It works in PS7 too. I have PS7 and it's what I use. It's slightly complex to set up, but once you do it's golden.

But like they say...you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. I tried.

It would be well worth it to take the time to understand the Russell Brown video. I will acknowledge that the first time you see this it is a little overwhelming. Watch it a few times and then follow along stopping the video while you go over to photoshop.

I use this as the basis for most of my action files for watermarking now. I have broken this action down into several smaller actions so that if I am doing another action with a different watermark or sizing I don't have to recreate that part.

If you already have a logo there is an easier way of doing this. Before starting your action make sure that you know what size you are going to resize your images to and that your logo is sized so that it fits your resized image appropriately. I have actions that resize my image to a variety of sizes and my watermark is appropriately sized to each of these. Using the same watermark on a 1024 image vs one that is sized at 640 makes it look either way too small or way too large on one or the other.

I like to add a couple of house keeping items in the action to catch a couple of things that might not be present in all actions. For starting make yourself a copy of a file that we can use as a test file. If it only has a background layer add a layer to it, this can remain blank but should be active. Make your file a 16 bit file. I do this so that if the files that I am about to watermark do contain either of these conditions, I can catch them in the action.

Your logo file should be resized before we start, as stated above. I prefer to save my logo files for this sort of thing as a PNG file and if your logo is not rectangular make sure that you save it on a background that is transparent otherwise you will get a background color behind your logo in loading this. Put this in a folder that will not change. I have a folder called PlaceImages and I put it inside of my adobe support files.

Start to record your action
Image-mode - change to 8 bit.
Layer - Flatten Image
File-Automate-Fit Image - enter the maximum size that you want
File Place - go locate your logo file. When this comes in to your image it will come with a bounding box with an "X" through it. Just hit enter or return.
Check your layers palette and make sure that the layer containing your logo file is selected.
Selected all
Layers-Align layers to selection - bottom edges
Layers-Align layers to selection - right edges
Select Deselect
Making sure that you have no active selection you can select your move tool and nudge this in from the edges with either your move or arrow keys.
I add a flatten but this is optional
Stop recording.

If you run this through the image processor or if you have Dr. Brown's 123 process you can use this as well. It will take and put a new set of images in a new folder with this logo on your image.

I don't know what could be much simpler than creating ONE action that will do what you want done .... it may seem complicated, but creating an action is basically just creating a script.

Before you tackle the creation of a really involved action, try creating a simple one with just a couple of commands .... that'll give you an idea of how the process goes.

Believe me, If I can do it .... anyone can do it !!

There is a much easier way to do it that photoshop to be honest.

The best solution I have found is Faststone Image re sizer. You can download it here: http://faststone.org/ (external link)

You simply load all the images into the program list click on advanced options then watermark tab. Select the location your the watermark works best if it is a png file. Select where you want the logo to go.

Then click convert. It will do it really quickly and easily :)

Google FastStone Photo Resizer. It's free, and does a great job. Resize, watermark, or add text. Pretty awesome little program for something that you're not being charged for. That's what I used before I discovered the whole actions route in photoshop, and what I find myself resorting to a lot when pinched for time.

If you are looking for a solution outside of photoshop then there are plenty of solutions, some free some not. A simple google will find you most of those products.

I used to use a program called Breezebrowser Pro to do some of my watermarking and it was very simple and very easy. I still use the program for some of its other functions but not watermarking. I find the actions that I have allow me keep my workflow inside of photoshop, but that is just a personal thing for me.

Don't sell yourself short. I can remember when I first started with photoshop that I thought that I would never get it. There are still components of it that I struggle with. The only way to get over these is to use it. If you are going to bail out every time you get stumped you will not learn it. Don't be afraid to ask questions but also use the search function here, there really is alot of very good answers on most topics.
