I've been working on a project for college involving a couple of friends who are musicians. I'm trying to take moody black and white pics ( digital converted in photoshop )with minimal lighting. Can anybody point me in the direction of some good tips on past master photographers, lighting tips and any tips on converting low light pics in raw would be of help.
A couple of the pics already taken.

The lighting on both is good ... perhaps a bit more contrast on the second without losing too much detail.
