Taking the photo to the Album- newbie

Okay you'll have to excuse my ignorance i just got my first digital camera, the canon 20D. I had been using the canon 35mm rebel. Im fine with the taking of the picture, but after that im clueless? what do i do now? if some one could walk me through step by step what they do that would help. oh also i got the canon i9900 printer. I want to make a professional album for a friend, im shooting the wedding for her. I was also going to duplicate it for my own use. Do i make it myself? do i send it to a service? HELP!!!! im overwhelmed and want to have a nice product . If i send it to a service do i have to make the pages if i want to add some extras beside just the photo?

The 20D software should have included Photoshop Elements, which I believe is a subset of Photoshop CS, the software that I use. The main things you will use starting out are cropping, sharpening and adjusting levels. These techniques and more are covered in the sticky thread at the top of this group:
