I just got this from Adorama today. If anyone is interested.

http://www.adorama.com/pdfs/rebates/Bogen_063008.pdf (external link)

I didn't buy the head and legs at the same time so I couldn't get the rebate, but for those who are looking to do that. Have fun!

Man, this is great! I've been waiting to pull the trigger on a nice tripod & head [at least nice to me] and this $25 makes all the difference! I reviewed the T&C on the rebate... there shouldn't be any reason this rebate won't work at amazon is there?

Going for the 055XPROB & 488RC2/RC4... any other suggestions?

I don't know. All I know is I just bought the 488RC and then the 190XB separately and they won't honor it.

Yeah, I'll call the rebate number tomorrow and find out. I'd rather pay $9 for shipping at adorama and get the rebate for sure than buy it from amazon and not get the $25 back.

I'm hoping it works at amazon as I've gotten addicted to Prime shipping!

THANKS for posting this!!

I do prime shipping as well. It's so nice to get everything that way.

Just an update. Donna, the marketing person, called me back and indicated the rebate is good for any authorized retailer, and of course amazon is one. Thanks again Suzy!

If the store is local could you return/rebuy? Or something like that? All you need is a copy of a receipt dated 3/1 - 6/30.

Theres all types of ways of getting around that... though morals do play a factor.

I thought about that, but I've already used my head/legs. And unfortunaely, I do have some morals. Sucks, LOL.

Oh well.

I guess I am screwed too. I just bought the 486RC2 and 488RC2 and the 055XProB last week from Adorama. Darn the luck. Anyway I love the quality of these products anyway..j

Just to let everyone know... pricegrabber has $5 rebates on both the 055XPROB & 488RC2 head. I'm sure its the same for other bogen stuff, so if you have a copy of your UPC you should be good to go if you write a review.
