Now I know some down home places on the Outer Banks that you can get great seafood of just about any variety, but you're right there's no fish and chips down east!

I beg your pardon! Down East is MAINE and they certainly do have fish and chips along with the lobster. What you have in the Deep South is another question.

Good freakin' grief don't get all technical... when ya live in NC down east is the eastern part of the state... the coast! When you're down east in NC nothing exists past Morganton NC.... yet there is the mountains the ba$tard step child of the state... I used to work for state government... they swore up and down that Raleigh was the center of the state... and I actually went to a meeting where I was asked to introduce myself and my catchment area (which was 27 out of 100 counties!) and when I explained where I worked... I actually got asked "Well isn't Asheville and Waynesville in Tennessee?? SHEESH! Down east to me is the OUTER BANKS! :p:p:p:p:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::lol:

It's Down East because the prevailing winds meant you sailed Downwind going East from Boston to Maine.

well I sold the mini ninja...I am SERIOUSLY hoping I did not make an error...but I'm turning into a lens hoarder....I don't actually need both the 70-200 and the 80-200 or the 24-105 and the 24-70 but I haven't listed the 24-105 because I REALLY like that lens, though I haven't used it since I got the 24-70. sigh...

If mini ninja = 724IS, then trust me.... you made the right decision here!:D:D:D:D

We don't exist...hehehe....I am still trying to figure out what genius decided Raleigh would make a good capital. I vote for Newton to be the new center of the state.

Seriously this was a top ranking person within one of the Divisions I worked with under the Department of Health and Human Services... I was aghast and asked rather rudely where the heck she was from that Asheville wasn't in NC!?!? :evil::evil:I informed her that not only were Asheville and Waynesville part of NC that from Morganton west there was another almost 3 hours worth of state that direction!!!! SHEESH! My catchment area covered Statesville to Murphy.. almost border to border north and south! (I didn't cover Charlotte & Gastonia) but everything else was mine... took me 3-4 hours just to get to my first destination in certain parts... I had one client that it took me 5.5 hrs to get to she was so far out in Aleghany County (I think that's where she was - somewhere that direction)... GAH!:evil: (It still irks me that the state would hire people who didn't know the state....

I'm with you Newton should be the center of the state! hehehehe:lol:

:lol::lol::lol:

Some pilots need to be watched very closely.

Say, there's a hauntingly familiar look to that spaceship. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it reminds me of something. Maybe if it had a giant POTN strap on it......

Have you ever been to Sacramento? I'd love it if they moved California's capital back to the original location... Monterey.
