Thanks David. Yeah the sunlight was very harsh... I was also trying to hit moving targets... didn't even think about flash LOL I was already getting funny looks from the other parents at the play ground  Can't imagine if I slapped the flash on my camera hehehehe

They'll get used to it. Or you will. ;)

Here's an example of a shot that could have gone very wrong without a flash. My 2 year old playing Guitar Hero with a badminton racket. You can see where the sun was coming from.

For all the hoopla that we carry on about our cameras, equipment, lighting etc., I have to show you these photos. Straight from my 5D, taken with my Tamron ($400 lens) and only minimally cropped. I took about 450 shots at the golf tourney and 90% did not need any or the teensiest bit of PP.

Goes to show what good natural lighting can do.

They're used to it alright... they all but run when they see me get the camera out... :p Now Alex can be a slight bit cooperative on his time and terms... hehehehehe Which is amazing since he's the more contrary of the two.... Sean... gets horridly annoyed with the whole thing quickly...

What a cutie David! :)

Beautiful weather and shots Mo!

It was a beautiful day... until the rain clouds moved in:D

I was just amazed at how great the shots came out...and happy too because that is the camera and lens I am taking to Italy.

Thanks, Jennifer.

The oldest is "Mr. Dramatic" when the camera comes out. For every one I get of him in a natural look, he's got to have one overly dramatic pose. I can sort of fool him sometimes by having him "act" like he's doing something natural. The middle one can't seem to keep both eyes open, and if both eyes are open, the tongue's out. He also can't hold still if his life depended on it. The little guy is actually the easiest to shoot, except for his habit of running toward me to see what the picture looks like on the back of the LCD, even if I haven't had time to take the picture yet.

That is adorable, David.

I used some fill flash on my golf photos because most of the guys were wearing baseball or golf caps AND looking down. I still had to do a little dodging on some of their faces.

Thanks, Mo.

There's no way that I would have been able to see their eyes that day had they been facing directly into the sun, so I shot of lot of backlit shots with the flash. Avoided them having to squint, me blowing out their light skin against their dark clothes, and gave me a natural hair light, too.
