It's the lack of sleep. One hour apparently makes all the difference. That and my wife was on call all weekend and is still waiting to do a surgery tonight. I've been seriously outnumbered by the kids since Friday morning.

oh I understand totally.......when I'm with "the angels" all weekend.....

As is painfully obvious to anyone driving by. . .

I used to commute from San Jose to Hollister. I got to drive through Gilroy twice a day.

Shouldn't that countdown be more like, 2.8, 2, 1.4. . . Blast Off! ;)

Cute, David, cute...

Actully, San Jose was the first capital of California. Even that would be better than Sacramento. There is a neat railroad museum in Sac'to, though.

Never been there, although I'd like to go sometime.

Gilroy!

GARLIC!!! When I was high school in Carmel, Gilroy was one of the high schools in out league. I remember going there for cross-country and swimming meets. You could smell the garlic five miles out of town.

I used to commute from Ben Lomond to Felton every weekday. But I was on a school bus.

I drove by Gilroy once, but didn't know that I was that close to the town. Not until the smell made its way into the car....

I swear that my wife can't smell garlic the same way the rest of the world can. I'll be half way across the house, and if she's using garlic in her cooking, I'll smell it right away. Minutes later she'll ask if I think she added enough, almost always deciding that the answer is no -- no matter what I say.

Of course, tonight we're having garlic fries along with dinner.

If you drive from Gilroy to Los Banos on the Pacheko Pass Highway, you'll go right by the factory where they process the stuff. It'll take your breath away, but you won't be bothered by ghosts and other evil spirits.

They have an annual 'Garlic Festival' which is actually a big street fair. Generally you can smell the people who attend for weeks afterwards. They even have garlic-flavored ice cream. No foolin'.

Gee I need to get further west... I have seriously never been further west than Nashville Tennessee! ;) Now I've crossed the pond and been to England and France at the tender age of 11. Ok tender maybe not so much since I walked off with my 11 yr old friend and made our way through the streets of Paris alone. hehehe

Sounds like Gilroy is the place to be hehehehe ;)

The people selling the "Garlic Festival" food products show up at our county fair every year... We always buy something from them.

lol Lonnie. I've never used the tokina, but really like my 724IS. However Dan and I really don't need 3 such lenses in our kit. So we're going to sell one.

Don't faint but I think I may sell my 24-105 too...I really like it but since I got a good 24-70, I haven't used it.

I am nuking chicken. I am trying out a Nigella recipe. Chicken in the oven with lemon, thyme, garlic, pepper and white wine.

How many times do we have to tell you?!
