Wasn't the Sistine Chapel restored?
We didn't have time to climb the Duomo; that's from across the Arno, isn't it? Boboli or Piazza Michelangelo?
And you got to go up the Campanile, too?

Yup - gonna have to abandon organized tours it looks like . . .

This is the big Duomo....447 steep steps to the top, whew!!!

IMAGE: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2198/2404339639_f550fdfa4d_o.jpg

We also did the Piti palace and Boboli gardens, walked along the Arno
IMAGE: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2371/2402751032_6e8f64735e_o.jpg

and climbed up to the San Mineato Monastary to hear the monks chant. We got a lot of bang for our buck while we were there...about 10 miles/day on foot. The only way to see the sights.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I am sure I gained a few pounds in Italy but I haven't gotten on the scale yet. My clothes still feel the same, though. Maybe all the walking and stair climbing we did helped offset all the paninis, pasta and pizza I ate.....;)

Clumsy . . . they're not exactly easy to change, but if you're getting cut, you're doing something wrong. And we have 2.

It was the distance between the air box and the clip holding the bulb in that always causes me grief. My hands are too big to be able to fit where Volvo seems to believe they should. I end up having to cram them in there in a way that's not quite as designed, because there's no other way to even get them close. Leads to a lot of scratches. Some are easier to reach, but not the one I had to replace last night.

I have to agree with you David...I had to replace a bulb on my Volvo...the space was definitely made for tiny little hands...mine looked like I had just done a 12 round bare-knuckle boxing exhibition.
