Those are the automatic plugins I posted awhile back that send photos directly from LR to smugmug, zenfolio, etc.

I just read this on Jeffrey Friedl's blog (the creator of said plugins).

Blog and updates can be found on this site. (external link)

oh okay...thanks

ibdb wrote in post #5118330 (external link)
Do you ever use LR to export directly to Zenfolio? That's the sort of thing they're talking about. If not, don't worry about it.

no I lost the link so I never did it

Me too :-D. Laptop screens really suck for editing so i am just waiting till I get home. Unfortunately, Scott and I are shooting senior portraits on Sunday, so I will be really backlogged :(

You might well be shooting on your own...no guarantees that the trusty minion will be available.

We were headed home from Kingston, Ontario...on my friend's parents 28'er. LORAN was working fine when we left...then came the fog....and down went the LORAN...it wasn't too bad...we just had to watch out for Galloo Island...made the whole trip by compass...missed the harbor mouth at Oswego by about 300 yards or so...LORAN came back up as we entered the Seneca River.

My parents had a (I think) 28' Tollycraft that they kept at a Marina in L.A. Harbor. One of their favorite runs was to Catalina and back, usually spending the night moored to a buoy in Avalon. A couple times he had to make his way back to L.A. using dead-reckoning. I guess we all know what fog is like. Anyway, the Radio Direction Finder was not very useful, so his standard practice was to lay in a magnetic course that he was reasonably sure would get him close, then go till he found the L.A. breakwater. From there, he'd go till he found an opening, and then he could usually tell where he was. It's safe to say he never failed as he lived to recount the stories.

As good as he was, though, he never made it to within nanometers. This would have been in the early 60s, and he wasn't really into the metric system anyway.

OMEGA shut down permanently in 1997. Even though I never used it, I always liked the acronym for Ship's Inertial Navigation System, SINS. It somehow seemed appropriate for a bunch of sailors...

I spent a lot of time navigating by radar... Minesweepers never got very far from land.

I was on a WW II-era troop transport, and our radar was at least 15 years old. Our surface search radar was abysmal, and the air search was only capable of finding mountain peaks. I don't think I ever saw an actual aircraft on it.

Navigation by radar would not have been an option.

OK, camera question time.

More lately than ever before I'm finding my camera is underexposing. Shots that I don't think should be all that difficult to meter are coming out 2/3rds or more underexposed. Is there any reason why a camera's metering would do this? Or do I just know enough more now that I'm noticing the metering variance more often?

I remember at one show I went to, the canon rep did say that canon had a tendency to underexpose by 1/3 to 2/3, depending on the model. I've pretty much noticed it across the board with mine.

Funny you should mention this, because lately, I've felt like the 5D is over-exposing. I can't seem to figure out what's different.

I wish I had an answer for your, but I don't. If you find one, please share.

That seems an overly broad statement. Why would Canon do that?

I'm going to report you to the EOS forum.

Answer B or it is also possible that you need to replace the battery that powers the backup clock and the meter...
