I am about to take my dead HP735 camera apart.
Guess the amount of parts in it and you could win.

I will post pics as I go.

First prize: 1 Slightly used Hewlet Packard camera (needs some assembly)

Rules:
1.You can guess 10 times but only the first 3 times will count
2. You are not alowed to take apart your own camera to count the spares.
3. Employees of Hewlet Packard not permitted to participate
4. Closing date for competition is in a few days from today.
5. Winner will have to send 100$ for postage and packaging
6. Winner will have to use his/hers own tools for assembly

The only thing that would make this contest more attractive would be to include the following terms:

7. By entering this contest, the contestant assigns to Johan Groenewald all right, title and interest in photos taken by this camera in perpetuity for any and all media known now or hereafter created for global usage without limitation in advertising or trade.

8. The rights granted under rule 7 extend to any partners of Johan Groenewald, personal or professional.

I guess 137 parts ;)

This is really an unanswerable question. How far will you disassemble it?

I'd guess it is made up of 2.4 x 10(12) atoms and 3.25 x 10(54) quarks.

How far will you disassemble it?

As far as I can go with the tools I have and the time I have

Those 2 rules are added.

Well if your talking individual board components of resistors and caps that level I would have to go in the 1319 area.

Watch out for that flash cap it's usually got lots of heart stopping power left in it!

If your talking about how many parts to get it in a nice pile on your desk I'll go with 27.

If you are talking about how many parts after you take it apart and lose some of them I'll go with 21.

Rule no 9. If it kills me the competition is void and nil and my wife will inherit the prize.

It's an HP. There can't be more than 3 parts and a monkey in that thing. Four parts if you classify the monkey as a part.
