How many experience Canon 1DMII thru 1DsMIII plus the 5D users do you know and have switch to Nikon because of sharpness in general OR the issue with the 1DsMIII

Just trying to get a felling of how many folks are unhappy enough to switch

Dang it I forgot Zero:rolleyes: sorry, maybe a mod could add zero

Where is the zero option?

Zero. Switching seems silly for anyone that has invested in glass. Bodies come and go.

Errm, none?

I know a lot of Canon users, but none of them are planning to switch. So, I'm afraid I can't vote as there isn't a zero option (which would, I suspect, be the most chosen option).

As it stands, this poll will make it seem like a lot of people are jumping ship as everybody who votes will know at least one person switching to Nikon. The rest of us can't vote.

If it helps, a member of my local camera club has recently ditched his Nikons and bought into Canon. So, technically, my vote would actually be -1 ;)

Its Ford and Chevy Pickups, nobody every really switches. However Toyota is taking a chunk of the market and that may well happen to Canon and Nikon.......

I've never met anyone EVER who switched, too much investment in lenses and accessories and mostly knowing how to use all the controls without thinking or even looking........

I am not biased at all and have had nikons in the past but i thought it was their cameras that had the sharpness issues??

I'd vote zero too... if it were an option.
No, I'm not a Canon fanboy, but these things tend to go in cyles, and it's not actually a bad thing that Nikon has brought something out that may worry Canon a little. I think the next series of Canon pro bodies should be quite something.

Zero for me.
However, I have seen lots of guys make the N to C switch.

The release of the D3 had me thinking about ADDING a Nikon to my kit. I am interested in the D3 primarily for its potential high-ISO performance, the 4:5 and DX modes, and Nikon's superior flash system. But I would not (at least not at this point) consider SWITCHING brands.

"How many people who have switched to Nikon because they are unhappy w/Canon know you"

zero.
