Then there was a fast and steady migration to Canon from 2003-2007 simply because Noink did not have a camera even remotely competitive with Canon's pro models or the 5D when it was released.

Now the D3 (and D300) give the Noink shooters reason to go back.

Exactly that - I found the D2x and D200 weren't offering what the 5D could as a wedding photographer so moved to them in mid 2006. The D3 and D300 meant I could go back to what I knew best. By buying almost all of my EF glass used it cost me almost nothing to change, but you always take more of a hit on the digital bodies.

realistically, you could also ask,

"How many people who have switched to Nikon because they are unhappy w/Canon know you"

zero.

Was thinking that.

People I know who have switched has been for different reasons but not because they were unhappy with their current equipt.

I had no investment in dSLRs. Decided between a Canon 40D and Nikon D300... Been a Canon shooter ever since!

Zero here!

After owning Nikon for 39 years I switched to Canon 6 months ago.
I like it, even tho they have white lenses.
I now own a 5D w/17-40, 50 1.8, 24-105, 90T+S, 7-200 2.8 + Kenko tubes, 580ex2 and st-e2 trans. Im groovin.
All Canon glass.
BUT can a 5D "beep" when focusing manually with a 300 F4 IS with Canon 2Xmk2 teleconverter? :p
Not one of the 140,000 users of this board has been able to tell me...:D

HEY! HO!
