Ok, so I went crazy and picked up a copy of the 200 f/1.8, so of course "DUCKS" are traditionally in order for the first shots. Shot with 1DsMarkII, wide open f/1.8, depth of field, holy moley. This lens is sick!

Enjoy!

obviously perfectly focusing, so I'll be more than happy to borrow it. Maybe it can make me a better photographer. ;) Nah, that'd be impossible :(

Got a couple of more that I will post after supper. All I can say is that if the new 200 f/2.0 IS turns out to be better than this than I just don't know what I am going to do . . . 5,999 . . . hmmmm.

BTW, I have a new name for the 200 f/1.8 --- "The Beast", it is heaver than my 300 f/2.8 IS, handholding is possible but no easy task. A tripod is definitely in order for optimum results. All of the included ducks of course were shot hand held, and that damn little sguare was wiggling all over the place.

Patience and technique, patience and technique.

Those are some of the sharpest 100% crops I've ever seen. Amazing.

This lens is insane.
Congrats for your purchase. Given the price of the new 200 f2, you probably made a good deal.
