Have seen a few rumours that Canon has this lens under development - if so I'd be seriously interested. Anyone have any details??

I own the 28-135IS which is our workhorse walkaround. Great lens but not too wide on a crop body. If Canon revamps it into a 17-135IS, and makes it a bit more consistent, I'll haul out the credit card in a flash.
