Problems Viewing Raw Files with Supplied Canon Software

Hi, I've recently purchased a Canon 20D and I'm unable to view my Raw files using either the EOS Viewer Utility or Digital Photo Professional. In the EOS Viewer Utility, the RAW and Raw+Jpeg files are either blank (black window) or it'll show a distorted version (the original image with two large stripes going horizontally with part of the image duplicated in strange colours within these stripes). In the DPP application, the jpegs show correctly but the raw files are blank and have a big 'X' across the window. I don't know why it's unable to read these .cr2 coded files.

The strange thing is that I don't have problems viewing these files on my windows desktop - the problem lies when attempting to view these files on my iBook.

Does anyone know why this is happening? I've deleted the images from my hard drive and tried loading them back in. However, each time it does the same thing.

I wonder if I'd get better luck buying PSElements 3.0 and using the raw converter that it has?

Thanks to all!

You might try un- & re-installing it. Or, downloading a 'fresh' copy from Canon?

Here is the next Question. Dose PSE3 open the CR2 raw files?
