I doubt it's true. ISO12800 (C.F. 25600)doesn't seem real to me (yet) :|

If that's true, I am so buying one when it comes out. That would tank the value of the used 1dsMkII's though as well. They'll be a real steal if the new 5d actually meets those specs, not that they aren't right now.

I think its a bit optimistic, or you can expect a $6k price tag. Other than fewer MP, it specs as well or better than the 1Ds.

If by some strange chance its true, I'll buy one in a heartbeat. Just in time for my late-July Alaska trip too. Where can I pre-order :)

I reckon those specs look pretty accurate for where the 5D sits in Canon's line up.....be good to see it upgraded whether you're after a new version with all these great updates or simply a cheaper old one that is still a fantastic camera

Why? Nikon has been doing 12800 to 25600 since last year. It looks great with the newer NR and sensors.

Canon has been behind the others on getting new sensor tech out the door. So hopefully this rumor comes true and canon catches up technology wise. They just don't seem to be innovating as fast as the others though.

I don't see Nikon's 20+MP D3x flagship out yet.

The NR information is a neat idea. I wonder how true though.

yeah, I too would love to get the new body, but alas, I can't wait that long. Need a new body now, but I'll wait till the end of the year to get one, if it comes out.

why not? D3 has it, and Canon needs to compete
