I just received a parcel via FedEx International from Adorama. I placed my ordered on Thursday evening (March 6th) which included a G9 Powershot, small SunPak flash, a couple of flash accessories, some memory cards and a couple of small tripod bags. I recieved an e-mail order confirmation very quickly after placing my e-mail order. The next morning (March 7th) I recieved an e-mail to advise that the SanDisk Extrme III 8 GB compact flash cards were back ordered. They did not include any time line but were very clear that no charges would be added to my credit card until they were about to ship. On Sunday evening they e-mailed again to advise that they were going to ship on Monday. I received a telephone message on Monday to call Adorama about the memory cards.

I decided to wait until I had received my package before calling back. The package arrived at 3:00 p.m. basically 24 hours after it left Adorama.

I called Adorama and they advised that they were unsure of the status of the SanDisk Extreme III CF cards and that rumour has it that SanDisk may be discontinuing this line. The Adorama rep asked if I was familar with Lexar memory cards. He was very polite and didn't get agressive at all. I told him that I would hold off for now and he agreed to delete the SanDisk Extreme III 8 Gb CF cards from my order so there would be nothing outstanding.

All in all I was pleased with the process. Adorama has taken some heat on this Forum lately so I thought I would present a positive story.

As a final footnote; this is the third e-mail order I have placed with Adorama over the past 7 or 8 months and all were dealt with the same prompt manner. I received order confirmations each time as well as notice that the order had been shipped and a link to track the package via FedEx.

I have placed 3 orders with them in the last month or so. Out of 2 of the orders, I returned one thing (once was a lens and once was a couple of memory cards). Both refunds were given promptly and without hassle. I agree they are a good place. As long as they are cheaper than the other places (the almighty dollar always wins), I will continue to use them.

I have spent over $10000 with them in the last year. Flawless service every time. One order will be here tomorrow, they shipped very quickly (same day). I am very happy with them and would order with them over B&H.

Not quite as much as you, but over 3 years they snagged $4800 of my money and not a single problem. With standard shipping I always receive it the next day because of my proximity, and they tend to have the cheaper prices for the most part. But as BrewNinja said, the $ always wins so BH has got my business quite a few times as well, never any problems with them either except my first order I received a phone call trying to sell me extras. But I declined and that was the end of it.

These postive responses are why I chose them (thru Amazon) over the other sellers. But my experience today has been anything but positive.
