I'm not in urgent need of it, and I already have some of the original Eclipse fluid. But do I need the Eclipse version 2 for the 1D mark III? or is the original ok?

I believe it's something to do with tin oxide coated sensors, but I guess I'm in need of some education on this one!

Youre supposed to use the E2 fluid for the MkIII, 40D, and 5D. Probably the new XSi too.

Autofocus fluid. Youve got to be sure you dont run low on AF fluid or the motors will burn up.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

I hear Pennzoil makes the 30d's autofocus work like that of the 1d Mk3 (Blue Dot or Fixed Like Mine)

This list (http://www.photosol.com/cameras_bymfg.html (external link)) says that the 5D uses the standard Eclipse. I also seem to remember reading somewhere that the early 5Ds use Eclipse, but that later units use E2.

Unfortunately, I learned of this only after I cleaned my (early) 5D with E2, and it left horrible streaks. It took numerous cleanings with the original Eclipse to remove the streaks.
