I'm going to Vandenburg AFB tomorrow night to photograph a rocket launch. I don't know what to expect, so if anyone has shot a night space shuttle launch or other night rocket launch, I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have as to shooting the launch.
I'm planning on taking my 30D, using my 24-70 on it, and doing a bulb shot of the entire launch with the rocket streaking up.
I'm also planning on taking my 40D, using my 70-200 on it, and will try and get some shots of the launch.
Any help or sample photos would be appreciated!
