Hello all,

Just got my new 40D. First DSLR and wow, whole new learning curve!! Anyway, we went to Yachats, OR this weekend for a much needed relax and spa for the misses... which left me lots of time to shoot and play with my new toy. :)

This was the first outdoor shot that evening, taken with the Sigma 10-20mm... C&C welcome.

Nice depth in the shot, I really like the sky. The green is much brighter than I remember. But then again, I think of the 2 weeks or so I've spent along the coast, maybe only 1 day was sunny (and that was over the winter months).

LOVE it! I am lusting after a 10-20/12-24/10-22 or other wide lens right now. This isn't helping my restraint. :)

Thanks for all the comments... I really appreciate it.

pixelhack: Go for it! Very fun to play with.

scotthidley: yeah the greenness may be caused by the HDR process and my trigger happy finger on the saturation slider. :) I just love color... hope I didn't over do it.

Great shot. But the green and red in the foreground are too bright. They don't look real.

I agree with the last comment. The green is too vivid.

Nice shot though!

Green and red look good to me, I like the whole image.

If I had to nitpick anything i'd say the image is too small. :D

Nicely done! I love the detail here and it's not overcooked like some HDRs I see sometimes.
