Tell me I'm just being anal/crazy - but I just received my SX100 today and upon opening the package - there was the tiniest scratch on the LCD and two very visible dust specs underneath the LCD clear plastic. None of my other Canon cameras (and I've had quite a bit by now, har har) have ever had this issue when brand new . . . (and I have a habit of putting LCD protectors on all the LCDs anyway so yes . . . mine usually stay pretty pristine unless bought used and was already a bit scuffed up! ;)).
Nothing to severely affected the picture reviews or overall functionality, but I'm incredibly irritated by it since it was purchased brand new from buydig.com
I mean realistically this camera won't always look so pretty anyway, but I feel like I want to exchange it . . .
Am I crazy?
I mean, other than yes?

I dont think so...it would bug me too. It almost seems like maybe it was rebuilt or used when purchased without it being advertised as such? I would defenitely contact the site and see if they want to do anything. I know if I went to say Best Buy or Circuit City and opened the package and it had that issues I sure as heck would take it back.

Thanks for your input. I didn't want to be a PITA to CS, but this is bugging me a bit . . . will be calling them in a couple of hours.

Welp, I'm returning it buydig.com - which they told me they would not compensate for return shipping (kind of irritating since it was a product defect, but the CS guy said that was their policy). But then he agreed to credit my account $4 (which I am pretty sure won't even cover all of parcel post, but ehhh, whatever) when I asked why that was the case, but anyway. I guess I'll have to wait a little longer to take my SX100 out on some adventures!
