Elements 6 Question

I recently downloaded some RAW photographs into Elements 6. Rather than seeing the photgraphs (in organizer) I see a gray square with a torn photo icon in the middle of the square. When I scroll "down and back up" the actual picture reappears. Can anyone tell me what is going on? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Sounds like you've moved the physical files from their original directory location(s) they were in when you imported them into Elements. There is an option under the File menu I believe to restore broken links (something to that effect). That will search your harddrive for the missing files.

Sounds to me that the images have not yet loaded into the thumbnails yet. Slow computer? I don't think it is a missing link since scrolling down and then back up would not fix that.

I still think it's a missing file. I can re-create it by moving one of mine. It shows the thumbnail with the torn image icon across it. The menu item is File -> Reconnect in order to re-establish the link. It may be slow to finally display the thumbnail for the OP but the icon indicates a lost file.
