OK I received my Cactus V2s radio trigger/receiver set today. OH boy! Finally...
With this I can set up the light in the living room and shoot from the door of my parents bedroom.
Its at the end of a 10' (aprx) hall, so I can't even see the light. Just the one small chunk of living room.
But I managed to tack a blue sheet up there. I set up the lights and began testing. Worked fine every time.
Here's three pictures for now. Also including a simple lighting diagram. C&C welcome :)

I think the first one is the best of the set. I don't think your really getting much benefit from the reflector however (the second shot is nearly completely dark on that side). You probably need to move that in closer to the subject by quite a bit. Also, I would play with the power settings on the light and see if you can move the light closer to the subject too. The closer you can move it, the softer the shadows will be. The other option is to shoot the light through a diffuser to soften it.
