Guys
I am going on holiday in May and stopping off in Hong Kong as my first stop.
Has anyone any idea how much one can buy a Canon 5D for in a reputible store and what warranties are available (i.e. international??)
Thanks

Mar 13, 2008 11:18 | #10 I was in Hong Kong, and I can assure you that the prices are higher there than in US in most cases. Even when they are a little less, why put yourself with the risk of repair and return issues? geofftelforduk wrote in post #5106133 ![]() Guys I am going on holiday in May and stopping off in Hong Kong as my first stop. HK uses the same charger plug as the UK so there are no problems there. 240v.

Expect prices around 14 500HKD (just under 1000GBP) for body only. Warranty for the body is HK only. If you want the kit which comes with the 24-105lens, that about 22 000 HKD. International warranty for the lens. Yeah I was thinkin the charger should be OK! ---------------

Is there any reason why Canon dont do international warranty for bodies if they do it for the lens!!?? Don't have a clue. I thought it is strange as well.
