My MP basically thought it was a fuss over nothing and she didn't think it was worth worrying about.

Mine has not yet even acknowledged my contact with him.

I see there's an artice on bbc.co.uk today about this.

They've exagerated a little saying that 150 MP's have signed so far but I looked it up and it actually looks like 131 to date. It made interesting reading though, and if you haven't already done so I still think it's worth asking your MP to sign it.

Don, Mine isnt on the list yet (Bob Blizzard) but we will see

Dear Bob Blizzard,

I am writing to ask if you support
' EDM 1155-PHOTOGRAPHY IN PUBLIC AREAS'

I am a member of your constituency currently serving in the Army.
As a serving soldier I understand the need for heightened vigilance
more than most, however, I am sure that while a terrorist/ criminal may
well use a camera to recce a target they probably would not be trying
to draw attention to themselves by using several thousand pounds worth
of (bulky & obvious) camera equipment.

the police and their support need to be made aware of the publics
rights as pertaining to photography, I am sure I would be able to calm
any officers worries by producing my ID and identifying myself, but not
all your constituents have that option.

I hope that you will support this

Yours sincerely,

ScottyKM, Some kit, and some Luck!
