Set up for the Kingfisher when this chap turned up, glad he did as the "blue streak" never showed.

Nice shots. Maybe the monitor, but, seems a little bright to me? Maybe that's just the color of the flash, though...I could be wrong. yet another interesting bird that I haven't seen/heard of.

I guess, for me, getting into bird photography really makes one realize that you start at the back of the line, with all the species there are to photograph. Yet, it's good that there are so many talented people that can create images for everyone to see. There's got to be something said for that!

What a great shots, i have a local grey but its very skittish and hard to get close to. You did well on these, i guess you were able to get quite close or was this a crop.

Either way their beautiful shots .My compliments

it's nice to see these birds from your self and with the long lens as this is the bird and the kingfisher im after with my 600 scope and i hope i get them like this .
very nice.
