Looking at a Pelican case. Optics Planets pricing is less expensive than B&H and with their free UPS, it comes up $50.00 less. That's quite a difference.

I looked at ResellersRatings and nothing too bad shows up. Any experience with this vendor? Thanks.

Nothing but good luck with these guys for the 4 or 5 orders I've placed with them. Product has always shipped out within 24-hours of ordering and always arrived perfectly and as described.

They're good but I'd make sure what you're ordering is in stock. They will charge your CC when ordering!

Thanks Win, I did notice that the item page did not show stock status.

Got an e-mail back saying the Pelican 1614 is out of stock, probably a three week wait.

Thanks, Turbodude. Looks like they are on the "Good Guy" vendor list.

datadump, What did you have on order for that long?
BTW, perhaps they changed their policy of charging CCs at the time of order because here is the e-mail I received from them.
We will not charge your credit card until we are able to ship the order. You will be automatically notified with your tracking number when your order ships.

A long time ago, I ordered a pair of sunglasses from them but canceled when I found out they were out of stock. That seems to be the norm with them. I can't remember if they charged my CC or not when I placed the order. I'm generally not a big fan of places that can't tell you whether something is in stock on their website.

Me either. I'd think that it should be a fundamental requirement for any commerce site. I e-mailed them to check stock so I knew the situation. The free UPS was the clincher after I read so many positive comments. Guess I'll just wait and see how it works out. Thanks.

Just an update. Took a while because the Pelican case was on backorder and then the lid organizer was on backorder, but everything came in fine. Saved $50.00 over B&H and any other vendor I could find. Would definitely use them again.

 Great company IMO...
Bought 3 scopes and accessories from them, all at a very competitive or great prices and processing / shipping astounded me.
Ordered two on Sunday eve and received Tuesday morning. Though they are about 600 miles away, but...
Also ordered the 3rd to be sent to AZ from IL and got it in exactly 2.5 days, no expedited shipping.
I give them the AAA+
