In case some of you are considering buying the 580ex, I wanted to let you know about this place.

Badger Graphic Sales

This is the link to their 580ex page. They are a local company in my area that sells photo/art equipment. I just went in during my lunch hour today to get an i9900 printer - only place around here with one in stock - and questioned them to make sure this was the correct price. Said it sure is! She said your best bet is to call and get put on their waiting list for one. She said they got 20 of them in last week and they were all out right away to people on their list. I didn't ask how long the list was, though. I have been buying more from them lately. Their prices are comparable to B & H on most things, and I save shipping costs, but of course that is made up in having to pay sales tax. Anyway, this is the best price I have seen for this flash - I may just get on their wait list, too!

That is a good price... and I just bought a 550 :(

Oh and prepare for your jaw to hit the floor with that i9900. Mine never ceases to amaze me. Even the 'easy photo print' utility does an amazing job at choosing the proper settings for absoultely perfect prints.

Make sure you stock up on the Canon Photo Paper Pro though... I haven't found anything else out there that does as good of a job (and sometimes the Kodak and others come out terrible. It's amazing the difference Canon's paper makes!)
