Straight off the CF card and resized - taken at Sunset March 6th 2008. One of those days I just about left before sunset since it was so cloudy. .

Titled: "Ultra Contrast"

QUOTED IMAGE

Really nice image, post card stuff!

Thanks ibdb - #4 is my favorite from that series too. What's too bad about that email is that it starts out something to the affect, "After work I went down to the....." so as it gets forwarded more and more people think the person who sent it to them was the photog, but the text was mine for a post on another forum. My anonymous 15 minutes I guess.

Well, if it's any consolation, when I got the email I was absolutely certain that someone had lifted the images from somewhere. It's just too rare to come across an email, with quality pictures no less, that doesn't have some sort of urban myth feel to it anymore. ;)

The Ultra Contrast is an amazing shot! You said thats straight out of the camera ?? WOW, what gear and settings did you use for that shot (10-22?)? I checked and the exif had beens stripped.

Huh - that must be a pbase thing since that's not the originally posted size. I personally like 1024 x whatever, but I try to follow the rules on here. Well sorry, I like being able to read others exif data.

Here it is for "Ultra Contrast":

Well thanks, I had that email forwarded to me so many times by friends and co-workers. Some where prefacd with, "Look at what my boss's friend took."

The second wave came when local papers and website credited whomever forwarded it to them. Everyone from a Navy doctor, and beverage distributer from Renton, a Seattle lawyer, to a woman from Iowa received credit. That woman from Iowa must have had some zoom lens.... :D

Thanks Shan, I'm the same way - always the first to get car, and sea-sick.
